Over the Hill news

Checked 17 October 2026. Updated 2026-10-17.

The official Steam news feed checked on 17 October 2026 has the 14 October “available now” post as its newest item. No later hotfix announcement appears in that feed. This does not prove no build changed; it means no later official patch article is available to summarize here.

Developer posts that changed a fact

9 April 2026: the Algeria trailer, the one-million wishlist mark, and a playtest. 12 June: the Steam Next Fest demo. 10 August: PC release date of 14 October 2026, consoles in 2027. 24 August: $24.99, soundtrack $9.99, Supporter Edition $9.99, no pre-orders. 14 October: the game is on sale, GeForce Now is mentioned, and regional examples include €24.99 and £22.49.

Each of those has a page so the fact pages can point at a date. Start with the launch post if you only read one.

What the feed also contains

Between those landmarks the studio posted demo hotfixes in June, a photo contest, a Gamescom 2026 note, weekly streams in September and a merch note on 7 October. Those are distinct announcement types, not evidence of a new post-launch patch.

A 17 June hotfix was posted in Chinese. That is evidence the studio writes to Chinese-speaking players. It is not a translated patch log on this page. When a real patch note appears, it gets its own dated URL. Until then, release date and price are the pages those posts already updated.
