I started from the 10 August 2026 release-date post, which says the game ships with several areas in the Canada and Algeria regions. The April trailer called Algeria the second region. I am not going to blend those official sentences with a fan marker count and call the sum a fact.
Two regions, several areas
The official release-date post names Canada and Algeria as regions containing several areas. The June demo announcement places its opening slice in The Valhallas around Emerald Lake. Algeria was introduced as the second region in April.
This is a static region guide, not an interactive marker database. Exact area boundaries, collectible coordinates and complete marker totals are not verified here. The map pages do not turn unrelated place-name search traffic into a new game region.
How the map behaves
The official feature list describes portals leading to new areas, objectives that unlock rewards, dynamic weather and a day/night cycle. Use the in-game map and objective text to plan a route. No unverified cabin count, reveal radius or weather timer is printed here.

How many regions are in Over the Hill?
Funselektor named two: Canada and Algeria. Each contains several areas. A full official area list was not published.
