Over the Hill release date
Checked 17 October 2026. Updated 2026-10-17.
Steam’s app metadata checked on 17 October 2026 records 14 October 2026 as the PC release date, with coming_soon false. Funselektor’s 14 October launch post says the game is available now. The console window remains 2027.
PC is already out
The Windows and Linux version launched on 14 October 2026 as a full release. It is not an Early Access build. Searches for an Early Access date are answering an older question: the store page no longer treats the game as upcoming.
If you are asking whether it came out yet, the answer on 16 October 2026 is yes, on PC. The download page explains the legal ways to get it, and the price page has the launch discount.
Consoles are a 2027 plan
Funselektor said the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 versions follow in 2027. The announcement did not give a month. I am not filling that gap with a guessed quarter.
The August no-pre-order statement concerned the PC launch; it does not cancel the announced PS5 and Switch 2 physical editions. No verified console price or exact 2027 date is provided here. The platforms hub keeps the announced targets and editions together.
What the demo window was
A Steam Next Fest demo ran from 12 June 2026 and closed on 29 June 2026 at 12:00 CEST. It is not a second release you can still install. The demo page covers what that build contained and why it shut.
